Krug Park.

Krug Park is found at the northern end Parkway St. Joseph in Saint Joseph. It has extensive landscaping and flowers, and features structures in the style of the Italian Renaissance. This park is popular with both city residents and tourists. This park offers many activities, such as a nature trail and a playground. There is also a cafe.

The Krug family donated 140 acres of land to the park in 1936, giving it its current form and size. Over the years the park has had many additions such as a castle-like playground and a wading area. The park is also home one of Northwest Missouri's most extensive outdoor light displays.

Krug Park's entrance is marked by a stone gateway and conservatory. The park opened May 6, 1902. Krug Park was home to alligators as well as exotic animals. There were also "Robidoux Cabin" and old war cannons. This cabin was falsely claimed to have been owned by Joseph Robidoux.

Krug Park, a popular attraction in St. Joseph Missouri is a must-see for tourists. Krug Park is transformed into a magical lighted castle during holidays. You can visit the park free of charge. About St. Joseph

St. Joseph is a city in and the county seat of Buchanan County, Missouri. Small parts of St. Joseph extend into Andrew County.[2] Located on the Missouri River, it is the principal city of the St. Joseph Metropolitan Statistical Area, which includes Buchanan, Andrew, and DeKalb counties in Missouri and Doniphan County, Kansas. As of the 2020 census, St. Joseph had a total population of 72,473, making it the eighth largest city in the state, and the third largest in Northwest Missouri.[3] St. Joseph is located roughly thirty miles north of the Kansas City, Missouri, city limits and approximately 125 miles south of Omaha, Nebraska.
