Krug Park.

Krug Park can found at Parkway St. Joseph's northern end in Saint Joseph. It has extensive landscaping and flowers, and features structures in the style of the Italian Renaissance. This park is a popular choice for city residents and visitors. You can find many things to do at this park, including a nature path, playground, and cafe.

The Krug family donated 140 acres to the park and gave it its current size and shape in 1936. Over the years the park has had many additions such as a castle-like playground and a wading area. One of the most impressive outdoor light displays in Northwest Missouri is located in the park.

Krug Park opened in May 1906. It has a stone gate and conservatory. The park featured alligators, exotic animals, and more. There were also old war guns and the Robidoux Cabin. Joseph Robidoux claimed it was his.

Krug Park is a favorite attraction in St. Joseph. Krug Park is transformed into a magical lighted castle during holidays. Visitors are welcome to visit the park at no charge. To help maintain the park and add new exhibits, donations are welcome. About St. Joseph

St. Joseph is a city in and the county seat of Buchanan County, Missouri. Small parts of St. Joseph extend into Andrew County.[2] Located on the Missouri River, it is the principal city of the St. Joseph Metropolitan Statistical Area, which includes Buchanan, Andrew, and DeKalb counties in Missouri and Doniphan County, Kansas. As of the 2020 census, St. Joseph had a total population of 72,473, making it the eighth largest city in the state, and the third largest in Northwest Missouri.[3] St. Joseph is located roughly thirty miles north of the Kansas City, Missouri, city limits and approximately 125 miles south of Omaha, Nebraska.

The city was named after the town's founder Joseph Robidoux and the biblical Saint Joseph.[4] St. Joseph is home to Missouri Western State University. It is the birthplace of rapper and songwriter Eminem, who grew up in and has made his career in Detroit, Michigan.[5] In the nineteenth century, it was the death place of American outlaw Jesse James. It was also the starting point of the Pony Express serving the West.

The St. Joseph School District operates three public high schools, four public middle schools and 16 public elementary schools in St. Joseph. There are three private grade schools, a private high school and a private K-12 Christian school. Two new elementary schools (Oak Grove and Carden Park) have been constructed, and both opened by the 2014–15 academic year. In addition, there is an active home education community that serves the city and surrounding areas.
