Krug Park.

Krug Park can be found at the north end of Parkway St. Joseph, Saint Joseph, Missouri. It has extensive landscaping and flowers, and features structures in the style of the Italian Renaissance. This park is popular with both city residents and tourists. This park has many attractions, including a nature trail, playground, and café.

The Krug family donated 140 acres to the park and gave it its current size and shape in 1936. The park has seen many improvements over the years, including a castle playground, and a wading swimming pool. It is also home of one of the largest outdoor light shows in Northwest Missouri.

Krug Park's entrance is marked by a stone gateway and conservatory. The park opened May 6, 1902. The park featured alligators, exotic animals, and more. The park also featured old war cannons as well the "Robidoux Cabin", which was falsely claimed by Joseph Robidoux.

About St. Joseph

St. Joseph is a city in and the county seat of Buchanan County, Missouri. Small parts of St. Joseph extend into Andrew County.[2] Located on the Missouri River, it is the principal city of the St. Joseph Metropolitan Statistical Area, which includes Buchanan, Andrew, and DeKalb counties in Missouri and Doniphan County, Kansas. As of the 2020 census, St. Joseph had a total population of 72,473, making it the eighth largest city in the state, and the third largest in Northwest Missouri.[3] St. Joseph is located roughly thirty miles north of the Kansas City, Missouri, city limits and approximately 125 miles south of Omaha, Nebraska.
